The following tips have been collected by our advisory group of mothers to help get your baby sleeping through the night. Routine Start establishing a night time routine for your little one when they're very young. This may include a warm soothing bath, a quite story in a comfy chair, and putting on their sleep wear. Doing this every evening implies to baby that it is getting close to bedtime. Very often a soft lullaby will also help baby to become sleepy. Environment Make sure that baby's environment induces sleep. Keep them in a quiet room with low lighting so that they start to relax. This is not the time to get them all aroused with games or passing them from visitor to visitor. You should also have their baby sleeping bag laid open in their crib so that baby can easily be placed inside with very little disruption. Room Temperature Health professionals recommend that your baby's nursery temperature should be kept between 64-68°F (16-20°C). Having the room too warm keeps baby from getting comfortable and therefore keeps them awake. Traveling Whether sleeping away at grandma's house or in a hotel, always bring along your baby's Sleep Hugger. It will provide them with comfort in unfamiliar circumstances.
