When can I expect to see results?

By wearing Shrinkx everyday for 8 weeks after delivery you are giving yourself the best opportunity to get your pre-pregnancy hips back. Keep in mind that the final results are up to you. A healthy diet and exercise is key to shedding post baby weight and when you do lose those pounds, your hips will be ready and waiting thanks to Shrinkx.

How do I wear Shrinkx Hips? Do I wear it under or over my clothes?

Shrinkx can be worn under or over clothing so do whatever is most comfortable and convenient for you.

How long should I wear Shrinkx Hips each day?

To maximize results you should wear Shrinkx as many hours during the day as possible, and then remove the belt at bedtime. The more you wear it, the better it can work for you and here is why. As a new mother you spend a great deal of your day feeding your newborn. You are sitting every 1 1/2 to 2 hours to feed and cuddle your new baby. While you are sitting, the pressure of your body weight is put directly on your pelvis which allows it to spread. If you are wearing the Shrinkx belt, your pelvis/hips are stabilized and are not continuing to spread every time you sit down. You can remove the belt at night because you don’t have that pressure on your pelvis so feel free to take it off while you sleep.

What is the proper placement of the Shrinkx Hips belt on my hips?

Shrinkx should be worn below the naval and at least two inches below your hip bones. Make sure the belt is cinched tightly on your hips and placed straight across your buttock. The belt should be tight on your hips but should still be comfortable, like a strong hug. If your belt is riding up, place the belt a little lower on your hips or try wearing it over your clothes.

How do I know what size Shrinkx Hips to order?

You should purchase the size that is closest to your pre-pregnancy pant size (pant size 0-8 is a XS/S and pant size 10–1X is a M/L). If you gained more than 50 pounds during your pregnancy then you should order the next larger size of Shrinkx.
IF YOU ARE BETWEEN SIZES the best thing to do is take a measurement of your hips. Measure at the widest part, and if your hips are 42 inches and below we recommend going with the XS/S size. If your hips are over 44 inches, but less than 51.5 inches around, then we recommend going with the M/L size for your best fit.

I had a C-section can I still wear Shrinkx Hips?

Yes. However, do not wear Shrinkx however until all staples or stitches have been removed and you can wear the belt comfortably. Many of our Shrinkx moms say that wearing Shrinkx after their C-section actually made them feel better because it provided extra support.

When can I wear the Shrinkx Hips belt and when shouldn't I wear the belt?

Shrinkx was designed to be worn AFTER delivery, and must not be worn while you are still pregnant. Once you have given birth, you can start wearing Shrinkx as soon as you can do so comfortably. Remember, the pregnancy hormone Relaxin stays in your system 6-8 weeks after delivery, so listen to your body and consult your physician if you have any questions.

Is there any time when it is not safe to wear Shrinkx Hips?

If you have any concerns, please contact your physician prior to wearing Shrinkx. Do not wear the belt until all staples or stitches have been removed and you feel you have recovered from the delivery itself. If you feel any pain when wearing the belt, discontinue use until you can wear it again without any discomfort. DO NOT Shrinkx wear while you are pregnant.

I am experiencing some discomfort while wearing Shrinkx Hips

Shrinkx should fit tightly on your hips but should not be so tight that it is painful. If the straps are too tight, loosen them so that you reduce the amount of pressure. You may experience some soreness when the belt is removed but that is normal. If you experience pain contact your physician.

If I delivered two weeks ago, can I still use Shrinkx Hips?

Yes. The hormone Relaxin stays in your system up to 8 weeks post delivery so you still have several weeks to reap the benefits of the Shrinkx belt.

I have already had a child, will Shrinkx Hips still work for me?

Yes, the hormone Relaxin is released with each new pregnancy giving you an opportunity to reduce the size of your hips each time you deliver.

Is there any benefit in wearing Shrinkx Hips belt other than reducing the size of your hips?

Absolutely! The Shrinkx provides added stability to loosened pelvic joints and ligaments helping to prevent injury, fatigue, or stress which allows your body to recover more comfortably after delivery.

What is Relaxin?

Relaxin is a hormone that helps relax the body’s muscles, joints and ligaments. During pregnancy, Relaxin is present in 10 times its normal concentration in the female body. Relaxin is very important to the birthing process because it causes the pelvic joints and ligaments to loosen so that the baby can pass through the birth canal during delivery. After delivery, Relaxin levels gradually dissipate for the next 6-8 weeks and loosened pelvic joints and ligaments begin to stabilize and harden in place.

What are the washing instructions for Shrinkx Hips?

Shrinkx should be hand washed with mild detergent and laid flat to dry. DO NOT machine wash even on a hand wash setting.
